Seasonal Maintenance Checklist for Property Managers

Description

Discover essential seasonal maintenance tips for property managers, including custom and onsite welding for steel locker cages.

Mike Harrison

Seasonal maintenance helps keep shared spaces safe, functional, and ready for everyday use. A regular walk-through can also help property managers spot small issues before they become bigger repairs.

Use this checklist as a starting point:

  • Check doors and hardware. Look for doors that don’t close properly, loose handles, or worn hardware.
  • Inspect chute doors. Confirm they open and close smoothly, and check for visible damage or loose components.
  • Look over drains and grating. Clear away debris and note any damaged or unstable grates.
  • Review safety guards and fencing. Check for loose fasteners, damage, or areas that may need repair.
  • Inspect bins and bin wheels. Make sure bins move safely and are in usable condition.
  • Check ladders, cages, and access areas. Look for visible wear or damage that could affect safe use.
  • Keep a maintenance record. Note the issue, location, date, and any follow-up required.
